Faculty of Microbiology

Study of Microorganisms are essential to the bioprocess of all living things and to the universe's balance. Microbiology is offered as an elemental subject of B.Sc with the combination of Biotechnology and Chemistry (B.Sc- BTMC), and Zoology, and Chemistry (B.Sc-MZC). The faculty comprises committed, experienced, and highly qualified teachers who seek to equip students with the knowledge and abilities needed to pursue professional careers as microbiologists in a variety of microbiology-related professions.

The Faculty of Microbiology guides the students for higher education, competitive exams and admissions in various state and central universities. It encourages the students to participate in various research and academic activities like quiz, poster, oral presentation, webinars, conferences,field visits to industries, and writing research papers for journals. The Faculty of Microbiology conducts collaborative training and research programs for B.Sc. students as a part of its MoU with prestigious research labs, Universities, and Industries.

Objectives

• To impart knowledge and training across the different fields of microbiology.
• To equip students for academics and industry.
• To guide students and foster their practical knowledge through laboratory training to get acquainted with the basic research across the diverse areas of Microbiology.
• To design internship programs, dissertation works, and research programs to enhance student’s knowledge of the subject.
